Blue Head skis, terribly heavy, with cable bindings, safety straps, leather lace boots, and really bad cold socks and mittens, I was Four years old!

Two more days and we are outta' here for Winter Park Hopefully it dumps before we get there. K mart has more open than they do right now. :(

Nike? what is that? Minute Man was 62 +, I was in on the B, F and G birds, 70 to 78. Your F-4 was GONE by then, wasn't it? BUT, wish I had had the chance to just work on one. :( At least you never went to the launch crew. BORING !

1980 - 160cm Rossi Team 2's with Salomon 222 bindings, I had safety straps the first winter with them and then "upgraded" to brakes the next winter. Unfortunately by then I had already done a couple of yard sales and safety straps crossed with yard sales equaled anything but safety

My first pair of skis were K2 - can't remember the model - I still have them in my basement and they were my rock skis for a few years. My first boots were Lange boots - I think they were orange in color.

My first new pair were Northlands with Cubcos. I was probably in 4th grade. Anything before that came with cable bindings and had the painted topskin worn off by the time I got it. There used to be this product called Faski that you'd paint on the bottoms after the old base material got scraped down to bare wood.

i REMEMBER those days.Instead of the ski going free and away from you it would get dragged along by your feet and on a real bad tumble it would wack you in the face :x

Then there was always the RUNAWAY SKI Somehow the safety strap failed or the person dropped the ski after removing the strap to walk down or whatever>Anyway many a time I would chase skis down or intercept them before they got a head of steam going because I was at a Mt. once when someone GOT KILLED by a runaway ski going through their neck.
If you have ever witnessed a runaway ski and the speed it travels as it goes airborne you know what I mean.

An old pair of K2 Killy Riders (have no idea of age) that were given to me by a friend. I learned on them and used them my first season (only 4 years ago). Then bought a used pair of Rossi Rebels from Ebay, which I used for 3 seasons. Now I just purchased my first pair of NEW skis, Rossi Bandits, and I can't wait to try them out this year.

Did'nt they have a few "Nike Ajax" missile launchers at Sandy Hook, N.J. for a while.
i remember seeing some right on the beach.
The guards would chace us away when we wanted to get a closer look.
