Mini is less expensive, can carry ski gear, bikes, kayaks and KIDS without the BS of JEEP. After the SPORT, JEEP has gone to sh*t. Camander is only ONE CUPIC FOOT bigger than the GRAND for cargo. WTF is that? AND, they are both smaller than the SPORT we have now. JEEP f'd up ! Go with the van and buy the snow treads.
Actually does fit a lot....... more than it appears to.

I rented one of those for work couple weeks ago, drove it to Jersey and back, lots of juice, engine had a nice growl for a V6.Skibumtress wrote:I like my Liberty, got a good deal on it and it's the perfect size for me.Dr. NO wrote:Too Small, Too Expensive.johnny the jibber wrote:jeep liberty

Yea. Got the Limited version. Lots more features than I would have gotten but got a good deal between my cousin and the dealer's deals. Heated seats (hmmmm), towing features (as Bubba pointed out), sattelite radio (free for one year), night rear view mirror (can't tell when a&*holes have their brights on when they're behind me), heated side mirrors and other stuff. The only thing I would have like is the navagation system instead of the sattelite radio. Prolly will get the navagation system after my sattelite radio expires.... still can't comprehend paying for radio..... although the sattelite radio is cool. Besides my Mustang convertible, this is my most favorite car that I've owned.buzzkill wrote:I rented one of those for work couple weeks ago, drove it to Jersey and back, lots of juice, engine had a nice growl for a V6.Skibumtress wrote:I like my Liberty, got a good deal on it and it's the perfect size for me.Dr. NO wrote:Too Small, Too Expensive.johnny the jibber wrote:jeep liberty

I go thru a lot of rentals and one thing that bugs me the most is sightlines.Skibumtress wrote:Yea. Got the Limited version. Ford Taurus is one of the worse, can't see past the hood, blind spots
all the way around, outside of straight forward/back you have to
crane your neck. Liberty had great lines all the way around, I like
the windshield up close. I'd buy one.

TOTALLY, TOTALLY agree. My mom has a Taurus and I hate driving that car with a passion for that very reason. Also feels like it's low to the ground.... feel like I'm sitting only a few inches off the road.buzzkill wrote:I go thru a lot of rentals and one thing that bugs me the most is sightlines.

When I take her to Atlantic City (my payment to her for babysitting my fur-kid when I go to K), we use my truck now. I actually think she likes the Jeep better anyway. She used to have the small box Cherokee.... she loved that little truck.
Steve - Good luck with the new van, we loved our Honda
Odyssey, until I slammed a deer doing 75MPH, then she said
"trade it in" I don't want it anymore.
BTW - The van held up fine through the crash, and I drove the rest of the way home.

Go that way, really fast.

As for your minivan Steve, you did purchase the Porsche of minivans so it's all the same I guess.
Nice choice!

i wanted a mini a couple years back, but the wife said NO! so we ended up with a sequoia. my only concerns with the mini: enough passing power to blow by a couple slow movers on 149/rte 4? and, i'd just feel odd checking out the hotties while i'm commuting in my mini to and from work. but that's just me. good luck.Steve wrote:You're not going to believe this, but the most legroom I ever had in a car was in a porshe..whiteout wrote:you can't fit in a porsche. you can fit in a minivan.
my friend had a 944 (??). I couldn't believe how comfortable i was in the driver's seat.
The tightest fit I ever had was in a ford ranger (pickup truck.)
