Looks like a lot is being spent to fix problems over at Pico.

Sucks they have to make snow on bare ground. A 12" base of natural would make things go soooooo much faster.

not the same??

hard to complain about their snowmaking effort this season as they continue to pound the mtn. this week saw extensive resurfacing and base building in the NR, snowdon and skye peak in addition to the near weekly snowmaking on OL and the superstar glacier build. we've seen a number of trails that hadn't seen snowmaking in a number of years get buried. gonna be a great spring. kudos to mike and the team.

If you remember, I made this thread after they suffered from 3 massive pipe blowouts at critical times back in November, and they were lagging significantly behind the competition on terrain, even when you took into account World Cup commitments. They certainly recovered and made up for lost time, and then hit a bunch of trails that hadn't seen snowmaking in a while. We'll revisit again when all snowmaking has concluded for the season, but for the months of January and February they did an excellent job.

A- maybe A in my book.

The only detractors were the blows outs and resulting lost time early season and making snow on Superstar two weeks ago instead of Conclusion.

Beyond that, nothing to complain apart and best effort seen in a long time. The new snowmaking manager did an amazing job.

Conclusion continues to deliver up fine natural skiing. Leave it alone.
