You know that's the old plan that they aren't building, right? Village layout is completely different in the new renderings.

Yeah it was pulled down.

I just did a more extensive search of the ACT250 database and the amendment that was to be submitted back in January for the revised Safdie design has not been submitted yet. The previously approved project number is 1R0980 and 1R0981. You'll find all of the old approvals and time extensions in there but there isn't anything on the new Safdie design. Perhaps AC250 told them that they don't view this redesign as an amendment and have requested that a new application be submitted. Who knows but if that is the case, you won't see any construction activity on the new village any time soon.

Well, if that is the case, welcome to VT Great Gulf.

if that is true its beyond silly... They're proposing a different monstrosity in an already developed area not cutting down virgin forest and starting from scratch.

This is the plan from SP Land from 2013. I think this was the 25 year buildout. This was beyond ridiculous. The new renderings from Safdie are ugly.

Something small like they built at Sugarbush would be nice. We don't need some big ugly mess that's under construction for 10 years!

One of the recent renderings showed "The Crescent" as having "summer performances" and "winter fire art". Perhaps there is supposed to be some kind of performance space where the dancers are depicted on the water?

clearly whomever made these sketches hasn't ever been to Killington. I don't really see Joey Jersey and New York Nicky enjoying whatever the f*** is going on in that photo...

Something is going on, the last thing submitted to ACT250 on the village was a 5-year time extension that was granted on 11/5/21. Nothing else has been submitted since per the ACT250 database which is a matter of public record. Yet a real estate agent for the village is telling people that an amendment has been filed which is false information.

You would think that for a project of this magnitude, that has been talked about for the past 5 decades, that now has a $47M TIF bond tied to it, and that will impact town residents and 2nd homeowners for years to come...that there would be more open communication about it especially since a major project milestone that they said would happen back in January has been missed by 3 months now and counting.

K can't secure adequate funding for enough snowmaking, lift upgrades, or employees, but plans to shell out for summer water ballet and winter fire dancing...whose pipe dream is this and what's in that pipe?

Wouldn't great gulf be funding and operating the village?
