Why just criticize their actions when you can insult them personally as well?Hal U. Dewin wrote:It's a f*cking ski resort...believed in and loved? He doesn't like the current management or the new mission--so he chose to move on. HE VOTED WITH HIS WALLET--and called magamement douchbags and assholes...he stood up, said his piece, now it's time to move on....this isn't world peace and he isn't a freakin miss america contestant.ski the trees wrote:I don't understand anyone who *wouldn't* stand up for something they believed in and loved.so why complain? like you said, you've voted with your wallet.

As for who's to blame, Powdr or Nyberg, here's the way I would assess the decision making so you all can assess the blame. SP purchased the resort from ASC, then immediately sold off a majority interest in the resort operations to Powdr and gave Powdr a minority interest in the real estate development. Powdr paid some portion of $80+ million to gain control of those assets. Powdr assuredly gave Nyberg, their newly hired resort president, financial targets to meet and management is now taking the steps they see as needed to meet those objectives. Management incentives are almost certainly tied to meeting those financial goals, be they reasonable or unreasonable goals. Those are my assumptions - you assess the blame.

Combine them. Make it say "We eat what we kill", and have a picture of something eating Powdr or Nyburg. (Maybe put the word there, and have Pac-Man eating it?)iriponsnow wrote:Come on now; that is a pretty low blow to a proven business profesional. I'd rather have a "we eat what we kill" sweatshirt.Steve wrote:Let's get some bumper stickers printed. Not everyone will get it, but those that matter will.
I'd love to come back to a Nyberg-Free Killington.
