What about the week extension?

And I swear to god guys, the only thing top to bottom this weekend was Superstar. The runout from the canyon has been done for a while now, by a long shot...

Hiking is all good and great, but thats just not the product they wish to provide, while they are open. Neither is a long season.
You're DEFINITELY not a die-hard.

What mountain were you guys skiing this year?

I'm pissed about the late opening and pathetically early closing but their midwinter product was way better than the last few years when Killington was overrun with bargain hunters.

Get a grip.

I could be wrong, but if Powdr measures success by customer satisfaction, I think they'll be in for a rude awaking next season.

i haven't heard anyone say that, once again who told you that.

and what business in their right mind would think that lower numbers are a good thing.

as far as the 8.4 million goes, what makes you think that has anything to do with additional profit made from this season. i think it's more an act of desperation. after doing nothing last summer while their competitors trumpeted all sorts of improvements, they had to make a statement this summer. unless dave, there's something about this year's profit that you know about that you're not telling ...

First off, let me remind Bubba of this:

Although Bubba loves to talk about, "no plans to make dramatic changes." He forgot, " it's likely some departments will merge to increase efficiency and communication" and "However, he would not rule out possible layoffs."

Now maybe someone can help me out here, and post where this has been said.... I know it has, but I don’t have subscription to Rutland Herald to read all the articles, and there’s a million things on here to attempt to sort through...

But it has been said. Those exact words, "significantly", no, but it was a lot...

You're in an awfully rosey mood this morning...

Except for holiday weekends, K skied exactly the same for me this season as any in the past. But I'm not part of the groomer crowd.

What makes me think the $8,400,000.00 has to do with profit made from this season?

Because, Powdr's philosophy when it comes to capital improvements is simple: "We get to eat what we kill." Killington gets to retain the money it makes during the course of the season to reinvest in improvements.

That's a bunch of crap. The typical midwinter weekend and holiday day ticket skier was treated just fine this year. The majority of the season pass base that doesn't ski October or May and only skis weekends and holidays is just fine.

They didn't spin the lifts when they could have. That sucks and a bunch of us don't like it. That's not going to affect the typical day ticket skier or most of the season pass base who are off doing other things at this time of year.

Yes, better on the weekends and holidays due to lack of crowding, but K has always been empty mid-week. I didn't think mountain ops were any better or worse than most years. You could argue worse given the reduced operating schedule of the lodges, lifts and Pico and perhaps better given they blew snow on Ovation and Conclusion.

I did like the relatively aggressive stance on opening the marked natural trails. But overall, I felt my pass dollars bought less satisfaction.

Holy crap -- do you REALLY think Killington made an $8.4 million profit this past season?

Do you?

No, Skippy. I'm not letting you off the hook on this one, no matter how you may attempt to weasel out of your own words.

Find the information yourself. We're waiting.
