Seriously, in order to determine the accuracy of the statement we would need to know:

1. When he was interviewed
2. What period he was talking about
3. Was he talking about year to date or was he talking about advance bookings compared to last season and, if so, over what period of time

They've been checking passes like NEVER before. Sky Peak express had THREE ticket checkers! They were checking tickets Sat Jan 31 at North Ridge (the former Glades) Triple, but not Canyon quad. Lift lines are relatively good, of course K-1 is busy, but Superstar, OL, Needles have been relatively quiet. I don't usually ski RH, but in the past that has been a very busy lift. Howz it been this year?

Saturday 1/31 when the wind WAS blowing aggressively, they didn't have a terrible wind-hold situation like in Mid-December...just Sky Ship II and South Ridge were down...and Needles RAN while it was quite windy. Imagine that!

Hello Mr. Putz, it seems you don't like ticket checkers. I don't understand why everyone has a problem with ticket checkers as we play a very important role in providing guests of Killington a quality experience. The reason ticket checkers have been stationed at the North Ridge Triple chair is because there has been a rapid rise in rogue skiers and riders hiking into the resort from a neighboring access point and trying to take advantage of riding the lifts for free, I don't want this happening on my watch any more than any of you do, we are there to stop these low life criminals before they they gain access to the quality product Killington is providing day i and day out. Also, the all new Skye Peak Express quad chair sees alot of traffic, so with alot of traffic comes alot of ticket checkers. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause anyone, but please remember to keep your tickets and/or season passes in an easily accessible place on your person to expedite traffic through the lift maze so we can all breathe a little easier out there. The ticket checker has spoken! Cheerio everyone!

How often do the guns not work and the damn ticket checker stands there holding the gun at my pass for 3o+ seconds hoping a miracle will happen and the damn thing will read it. Bing. Why can't a chip be put into the season passes and quickly scanned?

Hello Mr. Realreaddy! Are you starting trouble with the ticket checker? The reason your pass won't scan is because of the plastic pocket you keep it in or the dumb arm band thing I see so many guests wearing. The scanners are state of the art technology, but are often thrown off due to the plastic. Again, im am sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you, but think about me, I have to stand there all day, everyday trying to scan passes and catching lip service from every jersey chump in town for the weekend. Sometimes I purposely keep scanning the pass once the rhetoric starts, often times, for a long time....................................................................................................................Cheerio!

yet some will bitch at me for pulling it out of my pocket (not attached to anything). after getting my pass ripped off from a tree branch i dont use those pully retracting things anymore. sometimes ill use a lanyerd (sp?) but those are a PIA. every resort should just use the gates where u put ur pass in ur pocket and it opens instantly (ie Solitude).

I've seen some people lately that are VERY fast with the scanning.....point->scan, in less than a second. They may have worked at the Rutland Walmart previously. Saw 3 people scanned in well under 5 seconds the other day....

Keep your pass on one of those retractable leash things, on a pocket zipper. Hold it out to the people scanning. Tuck it into your pocket if you're going to ski tight trees. Don't waste your time, and everyone elses, with the arm bands, etc.

Uh, ticket checker, if you want the passes to be out and visible, then get rid of the $30 lost pass fee when it falls off. Otherwise, it's someplace protected. You can't have it both ways.

What lost pass fee do you speak of?? The $75 fee Stowe charges??? I lost my pass last season and walked in the pass office and got a new one for free. . .

first replacement is free.

speaking of scanning tickets, either Saturday or Sunday (can't remember which) I rode the Snowdon Triple at least 10 times with no ticket checker in sight. Only person working the lift was the dude loading (who was very nice and remembered me each time I got on).
