So... "attn: Geoff that is wines". Thanks for proving my point, which is that you are a dolt, i.e., moron.
Dusting off my pathetic Latin...

i.e. :== id est

I'm so used to Internet Ebonics that it doesn't bother me. wrt is probably the bettery acronym.

I always thought the english translation for i.e. was "in other words"

You are correct. The literal translation of the Latin is "it is" or "that is". "in other words" flows off the tongue better.

Dork is correct, that is, callin' his shots damned straight for a big ol' white boy.

I figured he meant "re:" not "i.e." but that was before he went off the rails...

That's funny...it's like those "quizzes" one sees on the internet that eliminate a bunch of letters in the words of a paragraph, but yet somehow one is able to read the paragraph. I read the "ie" as "re:".

What is "wrt?"

I thought I saw another thread title of his that had "ie", but now I don't see it. If it was a simple typo (ie instead of re), I don't really care about those. I hereby retract my slag. Still, his full response to me makes no sense either way.

I'm not much of a wine drinker myself but lately i've been drinking a merlot made by Bogle and I like it a lot.
