No fix needed here Dr. Had a couple of nice slices tonight. Fresh mozz, fresh crushed tomato, fresh chopped basil sprinkled with romano cheese on top....ummmm.

having just spent 30 yrs in the snapple and having had a totonno's & grimaldi's within a block of my apartment, (and though i'm partial to wood/coal fired pizza) i'll vouch for the quality of ramunto's. is it the best pizza i've ever had. no. but pretty damn good.steamboat1 wrote:Out of my way since I come from the west. Surely the better pie in the area and Andy pulls together a good set up for the football playoffs, but get their early, especially if your team is the 2nd game.

Its the best pizza I have had in Vt for sure, but its not anything special in my opinion. Plenty of pizza places by me are betterskiadikt wrote:having just spent 30 yrs in the snapple and having had a totonno's & grimaldi's within a block of my apartment, (and though i'm partial to wood/coal fired pizza) i'll vouch for the quality of ramunto's. is it the best pizza i've ever had. no. but pretty damn good.steamboat1 wrote:Out of my way since I come from the west. Re: Ramunto's for Pizza and Beer
Where I live in central NJ are some of the best pizza places in the country and some rank in many top lists across the country. It's not up there with many of those places, but like you I'll also vouch that it's pretty good. I like the garlic knot pie. I've only been to the one in Bridgewater. http://ramuntosvt.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It's worth the 15 minute drive especially on a weekend evening when places on K rd. are mobbed. Usually pretty quiet in there and a good beer selection.skiadikt wrote:having just spent 30 yrs in the snapple and having had a totonno's & grimaldi's within a block of my apartment, (and though i'm partial to wood/coal fired pizza) i'll vouch for the quality of ramunto's. is it the best pizza i've ever had. no. but pretty damn good.steamboat1 wrote:Out of my way since I come from the west. I have not been yet this year, but it is an occasional stop for us on the way up on Friday evenings. Andy has done a nice job there.

Bump for Andy down at Ramuntos in Bridgewater. Was there two weeks ago and the food and drinks were excellent as usual.
Check him out when you've had enough of the the access road mayhem, great food, great beer selection, great atmosphere:

Re: Ramunto's for Pizza and Beer
Stopped at the Brattleboro Ramuntos and there was a big improvement. Their slices to go choices are up from three to 7. The amount of ingredients went from sparse to reasonable. The taste is better. Ingredients used were way better, like nicely carmelized onions. The thick Sicilian was slightly underdone, and the reheat to go was almost imperceptible, we got it not even warm. But I'll take tepid good pizza over hot marginal pizza any day. Somebody got the word there.

Bump for the Holiday rush, definitely a great alternative to the access road crowds.

Re: Ramunto's for Pizza and Beer
Also, the VAST trails run directly to th the back door of Ramunto's, nothing like a cold beer and a warm slice after several hours in the back country. Tell Andy Kzone sent you!

Re: Ramunto's for Pizza and Beer
The Bridgewater location has been there for years...more than 4. don't waste you time going to the instant one in Quechee Shell station...it comes off a conveyor and not the same. Ramuntos is a chain and the pop up stores are not the same as the real Pizza ovens.
Always had good Zaa there and the silician will last a weekend! Will have to try the Garlic knot pizza.
