How about near the ski club, since you have some clout there.
Thats what I was thinking. OK ski club it is.

I think the experience for the competitors is less important than for the spectators. This has always been a party that happens to have competition going on, not vice versa. If it was at bear the rest of the mountain would not be connected and the only thing skiable at bear is where the course would be, so there would be no skiing except for the competitors. I think K did the right thing keeping the challenge alive without bear being open. Would superstar have been a better place for the comp? maybe....Highline looks pretty beat up but you dont really have the room for the campsites at the bottom of superstar so I think highline was the correct choice.

Don't worry, Jeff Temple will wave his magic wand and transform Highline into a world class bump venue before Saturday!!

I also think Killington should track r*in days and inches of NCP like they track operating days and total snowfall. I wonder if more inches of NCP fell this season than snowfall? Shortski, do you have that stat handy?

By just about three fold. I guestimated about 6" of reign fell between late january and end of feb. My guess is very roughly 15" of reign fell this ski season which would equal somewhere around 150-180" of snow. Anyone else come up with some self estimated figures?
There certainly wasn't a lack of precip this season, just the wrong kind..

Don't they generally end on Easter Sunday?
They do, but were running last weekend...
Not running this week.
Might be worth parking (or walking) to upper Snowshed lot and take the buses that are supposed to be running through the parking lots . . . I'll see if I can find out more info tomorrow

About 1.35 inch of r*in just today at Moose Manor in the bucket I happened to leave on the deck. Highline is going to look different in the morning. Currently 42 degrees off a high of 50.

Thanks Killington for your update . . . wonder if you could please let us know exactly where these "shuttles and Dos Equis Vans" will be running?

Quoting myself - ha  This is the info I received from Customer Service:)

"Resort shuttles will run between parking lots and base areas. Dos Equis Vans will take folks to their condos or homes on the access road.

I hope this info helps."

Condo Shuttle: 3 shuttles available Sat & Sun. They will go through Pinnacle & Highridge. Sunday is the condo shuttles final day of operations.

Base Area Transportation (BATs): Will be available through Sunday, April 17. BATS will loop from the hotel, to Snowshed, through Vale up to K1. Tomorrow the BAT vans will have extended hours dependent on weather and demand.

Dos Equis Vans will be available tomorrow to bring guests home to their condo, hotel, or home on the access road only.

We built, shaped and made 3 lines today. Sun will come out, the Comp will be great. Some real talent from many places.
