North Star and Vagabond added to the Open list.
I thought Northstar had a rope up. Vagabond is open, heavy snow with big water bars. Actually needed to get tracked in a bit when I hit it
Thank you for your service.

So once it gets cold again what do we think the plan will be?

Resurface SS, SL and start on Bittersweet so they are ready for 12/8.
Have they made snow on launchpad? Is there enough natural up there to just groom it open?
Snowshed to get beginner terrain and learn to ski area open
LEF and the runout

They dropped the rope on Northstar sometime after my previous post and noon. You do the math. I can’t even get the day of the week right. Hard work, worth the wait, but good snow.

I’m hoping they’ll open Highline tomorrow on thin cover. It’s a big slope and only had about 24 hours. Maybe a tad more. Not sure when they shut down the guns as the temperatures rose yesterday. I have less hope for Snowshed, less time under the guns. Either way, I assume getting more coverage on them is first on the list. They also need to connect skiers right of SS to the Snowshed pod, as well as a real route down Ramshead. I hope they do Header t2b, but it’s probably easy street. They also have to get Swirl and the Poma done for KMS. Bottom line: we are in the part of the expansion that sucks. Something in the Canyon would be nice, but with C4 on the shelf, not holding out much hope.

Silly me - I got my info from the Killington App this morning [showing North Star open].

Just saw your most recent post re: North Star is now open. Go figure, the Killington App now showing it as closed.

In the past, I have given K kudos for doing a decent job keeping the App updated, at least re: trail open/closed status. They are not doing a good job on this now. Sucks when you trust the App and head somewhere only to find it was wrong.

Not a shot on Snowshed IMHO, they wouldn't put beginners on it without a solid manmade base. Only skier's right next to the towers got the short soak. They didn't even put the fan guns at the base yet. They just ran that with extra capacity, it's a ways off.

Highline probably not either if they left the guns and hoses in the trail.

I don't think they will resurface SS or SL, I wouldn't. Just fold in the natural we got and keep expanding.
Highline
Full House (while they have water on Snowdon)
Snowshed/Learn to Ski
Easy Street
Bittersweet
Lower East Fall/Runout even without C4
Then the push into Northbrook/Needle's Eye

Trails 1-4 above should be possible simultaneously even with their system, assuming labor to do it.

Just my guesses, probably wrong.

Don't they need more snow on mouse run to build the park?

They had since April to fix the Canyon Quad. How is that not done yet? Will it ever run this season?

it was reported, in this thread a few pages back, that the new motor was installed within the past few weeks.

You were probably too busy complaining to notice.

I assume it still needs to be load tested. Lack of help is proably related to most of these complants would be my guess.

PSA: “ December 10-15 we welcome 600 PSIA Pro Jam members to Killington. They will have breakfast and lunch on mountain but they are on their own for dinner with the exception of Thursday, Dec 14 when they have a reception with hors d’oeuvres.”

Being so short staffed that basic tasks like this can't even be done, is usually due to not paying competitive wages.
