I bet there is some correlation to there being fewer customers and they need to maintain their revenues, therefore more frequent visits.

BMMC Change is hard

Post by Finn »

So for those thinking of doing something different with the no alcohol rule. pm people.
K management does watch our responses closely.
Someone PM me last night from K management regarding the liquor board
rules for the 2008 BMMC indicating that people could contact the state liquor board with their complaints.

Not allowing ppl to bring in their own food and booze is ridiculous. This event has been going down for what, over 25 years? Now they decide to enforce a ban on alcohol..sh*t. So what are they going to do? search every car that pulls into the Bear lot and turn ppl away? This is all just a ploy for POWDR to sell there own food and booze. POWDR, please get your heads out of your asses. As stated early in the thread, there has always been a police presence at BMMC and they have never bothered ppl for drinking at this event unless you were being really stupid. So what the hell are we gonna do? another great event that will die because these fukk heads from Utah dont have a clue. Man did wee get the sh*t end of the stick when these guys took over...PLEASE GET THE FUKK OUT OF KILLINGTON....never thought Id miss ASC....

Man, I figured a poster named "BoozeTan" would post the angriest message on THIS particular topic. Rock on, brother!

Dude, i dont even drink all that much at BMMC, I still like to get out and ride. Its more about the vibe of the event for me. Hanging out with freinds and ppl I dont normally see on the hill. I just dont like the fact that all of a sudden an event thats been going on for 27 years has to change....just another dagger in the heart of what made Killington Killington

You can be sure that Powdr is just really looking for more revenue, just squeezing the gem. Banning barby's and food is just over the top. As far as booze their liquor lic is only for their bar and lodge area, not for the parking lot or on state land.

If ya ever go to the US Open at Stratton there is plenty of byob all over the place and you never see the cops or dlc people hassling anyone.
