We made it about 10:20, saw you standing by the ski club, figured that Johnny was racing. Waved, but you didn't seem to see us.

Sorry, I did not see you. If you had a radio, you would have heard that I was heading there to meet up with Skidork and have a cup of coffee. If you saw me at 10:20 then I must have gotten to KBL around 10:15 because I went inside to see if anyone was in there and then called Dork to see where he was.andyzee wrote:We made it about 10:20, saw you standing by the ski club, figured that Johnny was racing. If people are really unhappy with today's grooming and crowd management (as I know I was) you can lodge a formal complaint via their website: http://www.killington.com/winter/feedba ... index.html

As Barnboy said, Jay Peak was awesome. You all should of been my Huckleberry. Freashees all day long. ROTD Staircase and everglade. I met the press. of jay yesterday. BS with him for a couple of minutes. Nice gentleman. Nothing but smiles all day long.

An appalling attitude for someone in the guest services industry. Seems most other mountains didn't have Killington's issues. Over on AZ: http://forums.alpinezone.com/44372-groo ... -10-a.html. Glad I didn't invite friends up, it would have been embarrassing.johnny the jibber wrote:i cant believe anyone is actually complaining. you got what you bargained for. you all knew what was in store for the weekend by yesterdays reports...

Re: Saturday after the freeze . . .
I'm sorry but with the amount of grooming equipment Killington has and the amount of time they had to prepare for yesterday, what they produced was pitiful. Did you even go on Caper? The top of the Ramshead quad was abysmal.johnny the jibber wrote:i cant believe anyone is actually complaining. you got what you bargained for. you all knew what was in store for the weekend by yesterdays reports...
I can't believe they ran all 18 groomers for yesterday -- and if they aren't going to take big steps for their 50th anniversary, what does this have to say for the rest of the coming season?

Re: Saturday after the freeze . . .
i heard complaints all night lastnight, i could care less if you consider my attitude "appalling". you knew what happened up here, you still made the drive, and you had shitty conditions. you rolled the dice, they didnt roll in your or anyone elses favor. i would have been pissed if i was planning on coming up here this weekend, but there is enough information on this site and many others on the net, to let people know what is goin on. it could have been quite a bit worse as well...rogman wrote:An appalling attitude for someone in the guest services industry. people should be more grateful that they were riding / skiing this weekend, hanging in vt.

it was a pretty bad storm so no one should expect miracles, but grooming and storm recovery shouldn't be worse than it used to be either. it started to go downhill last year - I'm not up at K but I'm still pissed. a little public outrage has produced positive results in the past.

Here's 2 pics of the Snowdon Quad yesterday.
For all you bastids that stayed home yesterday morning...lucky you.
Started the ski day at 8:30 ended at noon. Had 4 runs all morning b/c of the massive lines.
