If ski areas left the trails in a more natural state skier's speeds would be reduced. My guess is that it would also result in fewer injuries.

My 2 cents.

MINT! Au naturale from here on out... I'd suggest sabotaging the grooming equipment, but that would be wrong. MRG comes to Killington! Stop the brutal grooming!

Speaking of- who sabotaged the Groomer that was stalled on Timberline Saturday & Sunday? Or was it another case of the "it got cold outside"? I'm surprised they left it out there all weekend.

It's not skis vs snowboards. It's testosterone level. This same problem existed before snowboards. The same 16 to 24 year-old male demographic that is such high risk behind the wheel is also responsible for more than their share of the on-slope collisions.

It would be awfully nice if Killington would spend the money on staff to deal with this. Until 100% of the mountain is open, the weekend trail congestion is dangerous.
Totally agree. I am not anti-snowboard. It just happened to be a boarder who hit me. But it is also more likely to be a boarder because of the demographics noted above. It's the reckless behavior, not the equipment.

Thanks all for your kind comments. I spent a week in RRMC and was discharged yesterday. Wounds will mend and I am hoping to hit the slopes again before the season ends - got March circled on my calendar.
