do you have any idea how many coins i've eaten when i was a kid!?? my brain damage is due to excessive copper consumption!
never went to an xray once, and i turned out fine. physically, that is. mentally, on the other hand..
I know, I thought it was bizarre. But he said he wanted to make sure it wasn't stuck in the esophagus. He's a bit conservative.

I swallowed a quarter when I was a kid, got stuck in my throat and almost choked. Actually started seeing stars. I hope she's OK.

It took forever to grow back & my mom was really upset. I would see her & my sister plucking their eyebrows and I guess I figured it was the thing to do!
I also had really long hair down to my waist when I was Princess' age. One day my mom got tired of listening to me whine everytime she had to do my hair. So she took me to the salon and they cut it ALL off. I had a pixie haircut and looked like a boy! I was so traumatized. That's probably why I have long hair today.
So anyway, maybe she won't cut it anymore after she gets the pixie boy-cut.

Oh yes, I remember the pixie hair cut. I hated it.
The thing I did was when I was about 3 years old, my grandfather was babysitting me.... my mother comes to pick me up and I wasn't around... my mother says "what has she been doing?" My grandfather says, "oh she's o.k., she's in the bedroom playing." Well...... I was in the bathroom "washing" my hair with Vicks (loved the smell of it as a kid... still do). Took my mother about 3 days to get the grease and smell out.

I shoved a BB up my nose when I was kid.

Update: I took the Snow Princess to the salon today and the only thing the hairdresser could do with her hair was to cut it short in an attempt to even it out a little bit She does look like a boy right now and I hope that this will teach her a lesson about cutting her own hair. I am debating whether or not to get her ears pierced once again. She had them pierced at 1 years old because she was bald at that point and I got tired of people asking me if she was a boy. Unfortunately she developed an infection to one type of earrings she was wearing and when it was cleared up the holes were also closed up. Don't know if she will keep them in if I do get them or if she will continually play with them and in the process lose them. She needs to wear the real stuff just like me - no custom jewelry because that will give another infection. Putting bows in her hair is a lost cause too because she immediately removes them. Can you put headbands on if the hair is short?

Forget about the piercing and save her a lot of $$ in the teen years - head to the tattoo parlor.

Her boyfriend will thank you.

Have her wear a sign that says "I'm a girl and I cut my own hair".
Or go ahead and let everyone ask her if she is a boy for a few months. That might be something she'd remember.

They make headbands w/ little built-in bows. She would look adorable in one! If I see one I will buy it for her (in pink of course). Cute little barrettes might work too.
As for earrings, I wore them since infancy and never played w/ them or lost them. Plus the little earrings, even real gold ones, are not too expensive. Give it a try!

Unfortunately she does look like a boy with this haircut and her brother has been merciless in teasing her. Definitely have to get her some earrings but not this week since I do not have the time. I am working the late shift from home and tomorrow we are heading up to K so it will have to wait until next week.

Maybe it's a slip because she want some custom jewelry and you haven't had any commissioned.
