Re: Fast Tracks at Killington
That's my guess. By the weekend of the 4th/5th they should have much more open, but in most years they still would only have 2 Fast Tracks lifts (K1 and Snowdon) the week before Thanksgiving. Maybe the November 19 date was initially set by corporate, but Killington asked to move it back a few weeks until they had more lifts open. By waiting till the 11th, they could potentially have Needles open. That gives everyone more room to spread out, and makes things less contentious, since there aren't as many people cutting the line at each lift.

I hear there might be a "Sit in" blocking entry to Skypeak lift Presidents weekend Saturday

Or maybe they figure more bad press right now wouldn't be too great, when they want all the press to be about the WC.
They need to push this back to never.
2014 - "A South Ridge trail is Pipe Dream. A South Ridge lift shouldn't be."
2019 - "A South Ridge trail is Pipe Dream. A South Ridge lift (operating midweek) shouldn't be."
2023 - Killington announces that the South Ridge lift will run five days a week.
2024 - Killington lied.
