Moving target. Wait long enough and you'll see what you want to see from any given source.

Somewhere between 2 inches and 24 inches Saturday into Sunday that may be subject to exaggeration.

Would that be 2 inches at the Skyeship base, and 24 inches at the summit?

It's suppose to snow both days so if you can get there, you might enjoy it.

To be fair, no site exaggerates snow predictions more than the one you linked too.

Not sure I can agree with you there. In this case, that web site lines up with NOAA forecasts, which is probably the source of the data.

It's not that they exaggerate...it's that they ONLY use the data from the GFS model. It's actually decent at accounting for elevation, but again...it only uses the GFS so it's essentially worthless unless you want to see what that model is spewing out.

That makes sense. I've found the site to under-predict snow about as often as it over-predicts. I use it primarily because it's one of the few sources that accounts for elevation.

Go to the national weather service site and when you put in the address type in Killington Peak. Don't put in the zip code. The zip code gives you the route 4 skyship weather.

In theory it's the weather at K at 4000 feet. In theory.

You can also toggle the map and select locations that give you forecasts at varying elevation. I type in the zipcode, then click on the map near K peak. You can get forecasts for NRQ, KBL, Snowshed, Skye base... You can also click on the hour by hour graph to show temp drops, start and end of snowfall, etc.

Here's a link to 3,556' (NRQ)
