here's a small hot take: dont plow the snow on the edge of the trails to even it out with lidar, it makes getting into and out of the trees that arent named more difficult and it takes away some of the naturalness of the trail and also removes some of the side hits. if i wanted to ski perfectly flat groomers id ski okemo.

Agree with some of your posts - but have to disagree on this one - cannot tell you how many times I've almost been taken out by people coming out of the woods who have no concern with others coming down the trail they are entering - sorry!

and this will make it even worse. boundary to boundary tree policy is still in effect, its a lot harder to come out off a small cliff in control.

Sounds to me more of a union work grab to me. VT is pretty weak when it comes to unionized labor.

How about managing the corals instead of trying to catch pass theives.

It's getting ridiculous!

The hill is printing money this year.

No excuses.

It's a negative on customer experience!

They’ve set up the corrals so the have to be managed. That’s “unwise”. The aluminum diamond used to merge 4 rows at the SPE has disappeared so now it’s just a free for all. And forget the bubble, unless Jay is riding herd.

People can do the 4 to 1 row merge themselves if given a proper setup, but requires a bit more effort before opening. At one chaotic lift on Saturday they did use ropes to set up the diamond merge, but didn’t center it. There were 3 rows on one side and one on the other. It was ridiculous. Training?

It appears they’ve let grooming decide how corrals should be laid out. They should not be calling the shots. I’m glad they at least restored the maze in the K1, that four separate rows thing was gawdawful.

They only need attendants from 9 to 2.

Fix it!

The mess at Stage 2 was EPIC.

I can't believe anyone stands in that line when there is no line at the needles chair.

The bubble at the bell yesterday was incredible. Freshies everywhere, sun peaking out, the mob jonesing BAD. Everywhere else the line would have started at the gate. Not there, not yesterday, and not for any other liftie. 6 sets of lines all waited at the end of their respective corrals, no rope held anyone, just the collective respect for Jay. Even when he dropped the rope at the gate everyone held fast on station until he called them out.

Absolutely unbelievable. Respect well earned and given.
