Perhaps you could post the full headers on the email. This would clearly identify the origin of the email and you could compare IP addresses to those from emails you know for certain came from Killington.
The spelling and grammatical errors cause some suspicion, and by the way this Nyberg guy is obviously so popular around your neck of the woods, it wouldn't surprise me if this was a forgery.
If not, perhaps he took lessons from the Jim Costello School of Public Relations. I suspect TGR will want to see those headers before unleashing the maggots.
Hi Bosshog
I'm the guy who got the nasty response from Nyberg. I have kept his email in my Yahoo account. Nybergs response was forwarded to a supervisor in my company and when my supervisor sent it to me I am not sure if it was forwarded or copy and pasted into another email. Rest assurred it is legitimate. I actually emailed Nyberg again last night from my Yahoo account telling him what I really thought of his childish actions. I got a reply back from his "BOY" Tom Horrocks invitng me to a meeting they are having with some of the killington locals next week to see what can be done to improve the Killington BMMC experience. I have yet to respond. Please let me know what you need to prove this was a legitimate response from an individual who has total disregrad for his clientele.
At least one Killington Employee is a decent enough individual to reach out to me and has earned my respect. I just got a call from Tom Horrocks. He was a bity turned off by my "Nybergs Boy" comment in a previous post (for which I did apologize). We had a conversation regarding this whole Email incident which I will keep private for now. He made his points and I made mine. it was a civil conversation. We both agreed there is a lot of work to be done to return Killington to its glory. I advised him I will pass along my suggestions to the K-zoners he and Nyberg will be meeting with next week. Finally some positive action to this whole debacle.

I'd really like to hear the justification of contacting ones employer regarding the aforementioned message.

Dumb Moves for $1000, Alex.
What is "I got pissed off when I read the email?"
I don't know about you guys but I've certainly said, written, or emailed things in my life when I was pissed off that I later regretted. In this case, I think a simple private apology would be sufficient. It's not productive to turn this into a holy jihad. We all want Killington to succeed and an internet flame war directed at Killington management isn't exactly helpful.

I say someone hijacked Nyberg's email account and sent the email.
If it's a real meeting, are any K locals on KZone going to that meeting about BMMC that Bumpmeister mentioned? We need some good representation. No dopey KOS teeshirts allowed!

When is the meeting?

That actually happened to the guy I've been doing my startup companies with. He was having a spat with the golf course owner where he owned an oceanfront trophy home. It had made it as far as the state supreme court. He fired the IT person. Derogatory email he'd written about the guy he was suing ended up being sent to that guy. I got pulled in to take a quick look at the SMTP trace as it traversed the firewall since, among other things, I'm a protocols wonk (all email in and out got spooled off to a huge disk array) and it looked like he had sent it. The IT person also took out the file servers and exchange server via VPN a few days later and crippled the company. If you're in IT with all the passwords, you can wreak havoc if necessary.

Post the headers of the e-mail to put the questions of authenticity to rest.

So many global corporations have poor segregation of duties and access management it's almost surprising there isn't MORE fraud in corporate America.
I can't count the number of companies I've been to where 6+ people in one location have root passwords to all global systems. Scary.

I used to work at this law firm that had an open SMTP relay server. We used to send mail as all sorts of different people. Real fun.
