jimmy is that it for you? took a buyout? get a toyota vehicle....u must wanna shoot urself....stock goes from $50 to $10....Immlet flips 80% of the businesses & the stock losses 400%!!!!Dr. NO wrote:I have had a mini van for a long time now. Started with the Chevy llumina then several Fords to the Windstar. Now for the past 8 years or so I have had Chrysler Town & Country, all company cars.
For the 1st time in 20 years I have to buy my own car. I found a used T&C with all the goodies for a reasonable price so that is what I will be tooling around in next winter. Going to suck to actually have to pay for gas, tires, repairs, registration, insurance and taxes.
I wouldn't even date a girl who drives a foreign car anymore. it's a deal breaker.Geoff wrote:So you're falling into the Madison Avenue marketing trap that owning an off-road modified Rubicon gets you that girl?thorski wrote:No more like dream car/girl. So how is it that the girl/jeep combo is your dream? Are all parts of that Rubicon made in the USA?thorski wrote:I wouldn't even date a girl who drives a foreign car anymore. it's a deal breaker.Geoff wrote:So you're falling into the Madison Avenue marketing trap that owning an off-road modified Rubicon gets you that girl?thorski wrote:No more like dream car/girl. This would not include a girl without alot of money who drives a foreign beater beacause it's all she can afford.
But if she was to get money and would rather be driving some foreign car then to the curb with her.
There is no such thing as an american vehicle anymore. That's marketing BS...thorski wrote:I wouldn't even date a girl who drives a foreign car anymore. it's a deal breaker.Geoff wrote:So you're falling into the Madison Avenue marketing trap that owning an off-road modified Rubicon gets you that girl?thorski wrote:No more like dream car/girl. You answered your own question in your first four words.Bubba wrote:Is a Japanese car made in Kentucky more or less "American" than an American car made in Mexico?
Everything is made "elsewhere".Bubba wrote:Is a Japanese car made in Kentucky more or less "American" than an American car made in Mexico?
So it's not about the workers, it's about the profits. OK, I see your point.thorski wrote:You answered your own question in your first four words.Bubba wrote:Is a Japanese car made in Kentucky more or less "American" than an American car made in Mexico?
Where does the profit end up? An american company or a foreign company?
Did our bailout money go to american or japanese companies?
Are all the parts made in the USA? No marie but when i work on an american car as opposed to a foreign car i notice a hell of a lot more parts made in the USA then in the foreign cars.
What does the success of the bailout of the american car companies hinge on? Buying a toyota or a chevy?
Your funny. Every foreign car is made here and every american car is made in mexico right?Bubba wrote:So it's not about the workers, it's about the profits. So you're OK with an American car made in China, with parts made in China, Mexico and Southeast Asia, and exported to the US for sale. Gotcha!
