Daily driver for 9 months of the year: 01 Ford F 750 dump truck, 250 HP Cat 3126B, 670 lb ft of torque, 6 speed Eaton Fuller tranny, 8 MPG on a good day, 33,000 lb GVW, had it up to 38,000 the other day..05 Ford F 350 Super Duty pickup, 4x4 with Fisher EZ Vee snowplow, 6.0 Liter diesel on its 7th turbo, still leaks oil at the rear of the engine after being "fixed" by Ford to many times. 08 ford Escape Limited 4x4 V-6 Automatic car. Like the heated seats.

whats with all the swedish brick bashing? I'll gladly say that Ive been a proud owner of three of these great solid cars; '94 940, '93 850 GLT that ran great until 287,000, and currently a '98 S70 GLT w/ 123,000, and contrary to common beliefs, this car is rather quick, good in the snow for a fwd, got a nice little turbo that's enough when I need it, and enough to pull away from most at a stoplight. Just wish I had an awd model living in K, but outside any ski area, it has been ideal for me.

I have had a mini van for a long time now. Started with the Chevy llumina then several Fords to the Windstar. Now for the past 8 years or so I have had Chrysler Town & Country, all company cars.

For the 1st time in 20 years I have to buy my own car. I found a used T&C with all the goodies for a reasonable price so that is what I will be tooling around in next winter. Going to suck to actually have to pay for gas, tires, repairs, registration, insurance and taxes.

'04 Acura TL 3.2 Manual Trans. Loaded. Quick, smooth, quiet, reliable. Not like a bimmer in terms of performance, but decently lithe and nimble. So far, 55K miles and ZERO repairs. Effortlessly goes well over 100 mph, but I don't think I've done that but just a very few times in four years now. Getting caught going that fast is ridiculously punitive, even on an open road with no motorists for miles in central Wyoming.

Highly recommended car!

This would not include a girl without alot of money who drives a foreign beater beacause it's all she can afford.
But if she was to get money and would rather be driving some foreign car then to the curb with her.

Everything is made "elsewhere".

Even Harley has used Japanese parts for many years.

It's not possible to manufacture, on a large scale, using only American made parts.

How many americans work for GM? How many work for the foreign companies? If the american car companies go under all those jobs go to.
