Money talks. I was at Alta-lSnowbird around the holidays and da Bird has fantastic infrastructure. Cummings will learn A LOT from Snowbird. Killington has tremendous potential which we all know.

Money talks. If Vail calls and makes a solid offer for K- Pico in Vail Resorts (MTN) stock plus cash- why not at least talk and kick it around? It is inevitable that MTN will expand East - why let Balsams, Stowe or Stratton get taken out and be a strong competitor to K. When K-Pico could be part of the solution.

The ski industry is small and you have to figure everyone knows everyone. Cut a deal with Vail, sell K-Pico, buy a different Western resort like Powder Mtn. and scale up again.

And here is another disruptive idea - if Vail is a poor potential acquirer, maybe Boyne will pre-empt and step up into Kikkington- Pico.

Why hasn't POWDR bought out SP Land?

How does the answer affect the salability of Killington?

POWDR is not a real estate developer, and I doubt that Cumming has much interest in becoming one just based on past investments and where his interests seem to lie. E2M owns SP Land, and I find it telling that they no even longer list it in their portfolio (https://www.e2mpartners.com/portfolio/). My guess is they'd rather sell than actually develop it; getting the plans and permits gets them to a viable exit point where they could find a buyer. Obviously this is all speculation on my part. Wouldn't surprise me to see both Killington and SP Land go as a package deal, however maintaining the status quo (slow progress on the village, occasional upgrades to the mountain) seems more likely.
