Oh they never liked him. The only reason they ever supported him was his popularity. Now that he's torched that and his poll numbers are taking a swan dive, they are happy to kill him while he's weak. If they don't do it now, he will come back to haunt them.

Looks like McConnell might be on-board ...
after all, all he cares about is maintaining power at all costs, and im sure he's getting an earful from the donor class. im surprised people are surprised. trump's instigating a civil war, and civil war is bad for business. color me shocked.

funny, hitler was part jewish. your point?
there are
literal nazis who make up a large swath of trump's base who feel comfortable being out in public with "camp auschwitz/work will set you free" and "six million was not enough" shirts on (the later at a rally, not the coup attempt), and they just made an (as of now) failed attempt at a violent overthrow of our democratically elected government. you can't fathom that you support this sh*t so you just deny and deflect.

My point? You called Trump an anti-semite and I am offering facts that refute your idiotic claim. Duh.
Remember the nut who shot up the congressional softball game almost killing Steve Scalise? He was a Bernie supporter.
Do we blame Bernie for this violent act??

I don't think Trump is anti-semitic. I don't even think he's a racist per se. I think he's just a sociopath, saying or doing whatever he needs to accomplish his goal regardless of how it makes him look.
There are still a lot of racists in America, and a lot of them tend to gravitate toward the Republican party under the guise of "state's rights" and such similar rhetoric. The Republican Party has courted this element of American politics since Nixon pursued his "southern strategy" to capture white southern democrats who felt betrayed when the democratic party pivoted in the 1960's to support civil rights. Now note that I'm not saying that all Republicans are racists. Far from it. But it's undeniable that there are elements in the party that support racist ideology.
Just like Nixon, Trump is pursuing a "southern strategy" whereby he courts the disaffected, including racists, the religious right, people who fear immigration, etc. So he says these things that he probably doesn't even believe that end up being racist "dog whistles" to appeal to that segment. He says other things that appeal to the religious right, the anti-immigration crowd, etc. It's all calculated, and it worked in 2016. It probably would have worked in 2020 if he didn't screw up the Covid response so badly.

Which party benefits the most from racism? Which party constantly pulls the race card? Which party stands to gain the most by keeping poor people poor?
And please, show me a world leader who did a better job with the Covid response.

Seriously? You don't think Trump totally botched the Covid response with his early denials, his BS about more testing means more cases, and his attempts to thwart shut downs? If you think he did a good job I'd say you're in the minority. In fact, here's some data to prove it, showing a 56% disapproval rating on Trump's Covid response:
https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/coronavirus-polls/
As to the racism issue, I think you missed my point. It's not about who benefits more. It's about a calculated attempt by Trump to reach certain segments of the population. The Democrats do the same - just to different segments of the population. They reach out to those who feel like they were hurt because of racism, those that feel guilty about racism, etc.

Okay, get back to me when you find the world leader who did a better job. Even the jackass Cuomo is now admitting that lock downs do more harm than good.
Democrats thrive by keeping the poorest in our society down. Look at the worst cities in the US and they have been run for decades by Democrats. Sadly, their constituents don't know better.

Sorry, I'm not buying into that propaganda. Democrats thrive by catering to the people who vote for them. Republicans do the same. The leadership we have is the result of the people who vote, and many of those people don't agree with your outlook. It's frustrating sometimes but that's how it is in a democracy.
As to Covid, I don't see how a comparison to other leaders is really relevant. My point was that people think Trump did a bad job and that cost him the election. But to satisfy your inane request, the leaders in South Korea, Taiwan, New Zealand, Singapore and Vietnam to name a few did a much, much better job than ours did at handling this thing.

A handful of countries have done worse than the USA as it relates to deaths per capita. We should be the best ... an example for the world ... but we're bottom of the barrel.

Baloney. The numbers, once normalized, will prove that the US fared no worse than most countries. Europe is in tough shape right now, so stayed tuned.
