She sure did love her trees, and all her friends and family who skied/rode with her in them! I loved that black jacket on her - seemed to me to keep her protected since her issues began

Re: Tyrolean skier ….
i'm very sorry to hear about Ty's passing.
She was, along with Mrs G, a true ambassador for me when i first started skiing killington and posting here
Ty made sure i was invited to events happening during the summers and was always warm and friendly to newcomer, me.
Ty almost did something almost no one has been able to do in the past 30 or years!
attending my first BMMC in 07 (holy moly what a party!) and based at the K-zone camp, Ty offered some delicious shrimp she'd prepared. i'm a long-term vegetarian, but still ate a bit of seafood back then.
when she made another pass with some delicious pork she'd prepared, my dionysian brain said YES.
Ty's outstanding food was my gateway drug. i was scoping out the cookouts and partaking in meat for several weeks!
on the season's final day and with the access road packed wall-to wall i ate a very not-delicious factory burger patty, dry and flavorless and peppered with bone fragments. and that was it, full circle, and i haven't eaten meat since. no regrets but that whole detour was about diminishing returns, downhill after the food Ty made at the mogul fest.
more recently i have a warm memory of bumping into Ty on an early season weekday, about 6 or 7 years back, after a bunch of runs finding nothing particularly soft or fresh or fun on the open terrain Ty and i headed over to royal flush and got some very satisfying first tracks. We also got busted but Ty was sufficiently disarming and contrite to get the patroller to allow us to proceed ahead of him and then allow us to leave with a just sorry and a thank you. that's how Ty was, and just a little bit of why she'll be missed by so many.
i have pics of Ty against the untouched canvas i'll hopefully find and post here.
many happy memories, and very sad to not be able to share them with Ty.

OMG I've been under a rock since last Winter and didn't see this until now.
Completely stunned. My heart goes out to Dork and Iceman for the unbearably tough year they had.

i did not know her personally, but hearing of the passing of Ty got to me. i always looked forward to her updates for years on conditions and the general goings on at killington. she seemed from a far as the type of person who would take anyone in and call them a friend. to those that knew her personally, you were the lucky ones & i am sure she continues to follow you all around in spirit. REST IN ETERNAL PEACE ON SUPERSTAR IN HEAVEN, TY.

This is heartbreaking! So sorry for your loss SkiDork and Iceman. Maria was the heart and soul of the 10am. I am not sure I have met a skier that loved being on the mountain as much as she did. RIP!

Ty - This one's for you.
Thought of Ty as we were lapping the South Ridge yesterday. She was one of us that always loved that area of the mountain.

Goes to show, you don't never know
Watch each card you play, and play it slow
Don't you let that deal go down
Don't you let that deal go down
Looks like its going down no matter what I do !!!
