Listen to you defend a pedophile. You have some investment here? It sounds like you might. I have already stated that I won't ever step foot in the Basin again, and I have provided reasons why. I am not defending a pedophile and I have not seen one person on this board defend him or what he did. That seems to be your favorite attack for anyone that questions you.
He plead guilty and now he will pay the price. People here have only stuck up for his family that having nothing to do with his choices.
If all your concentration and all your focus is on me, then I think you have a problem. I am outraged that this guy has pleaded guilty to federal charges of child porn and he has guys like you defending him ad nauseam while he skates down the hill without anyone saying a word to him that what he did was wrong.

Nikoli, it's a fair question, and a good one. I do not attack all Vermont sex offenders with the same vigor/hatred/violence, it is true. I tend to focus on where the threat is to me. I live and work in NYC , and there are over 100 sex offenders living within a mile of my home. This is one of the dangers of living in NYC, and I accept it as a reality but I watch my child like a hawk.
There is one offender, besides Torrey, whom I am aware of here in Killington. This guy's crimes are horrific, and he was recently released from prison and lives in Killington. I have been actively alerting parents I know that this guy lives in the area, is a skier at Killington, and is a registered sex offender.
Then came Torrey's case. As someone who has shopped at the basin for years, I felt like many:betrayed. I brought my child to the Basin from the age of 1 till this past April. I will bring the same attitude to Torrey's situation as I brought to the others I am aware of. I will keep him the hell away from my child and any of the children that my family invites up to stay with us at Killington.
As for the perceived vindictiveness against the family: Nothing could be further from the truth. As has been said before, if Torrey was smart he would sell or transfer the business *yesterday*. He is punishing his family, not me or anyone else.
And it's not going to go away.

I should explain this. Gunner is not Sh*tski, obviously. But I saw Gunner's post being edited before my eyes by Shortski. This was the same night that SC was having his posts editied by sh*tski, but I was not aware of that nefarious endeavor till the next day. So, long story short, sh*tski was up to some serious antics that night, and I witnessed part of it. I apologize to Gunner for saying that he was Sh*tski. Gunner is a different asshole. He resides in appalachia, where assholes are quite popular.

i was told several years ago by someone from the rutland jail that there are alot of sex offenders that live in the k area....what a name donald wigg :x :x how did wiggie survive in the pen?

A good conviction and incarceration of a child offender in any prison system is dam near the kiss of death. They will be someone's bitch. If they harmed the child other than abuse, life expectancy goes down. If they abused and then killed child, life expectancy in a FED prision is about 2 weeks.

Doc,I haven't and don't ever expect to be in prison. To try and comprehend prison justice is not my deal, nor anything I wish to waste my time on.
If he got abused, raped or worse, thats not my fault. He should have thought about that long before he did his crime. I have heard "if you can't do the time, don't do the crime", well he should have thought of that before he abused a young innocent, who is harmed and affected for life.
I will never feel bad for what happens to him, any pedophile is scum in my book, and gets what he rightly deserves.
