So, I was watching the old Santa Claus is Coming to Town Christmas show last night. At one point, Kris Kringle gives away toys to all the little kids, but ONLY if they “pay the price” of sitting on his knee and giving him a kiss. If they don’t “pay”, no toy. What’s up with that? :?

Makes you wonder if the sitting on Santa's lap tradition will go away....

I was going to wait until sentencing to bring this up, but since you guys bumped this thread, I'll put it out there now. I was looking for the sentencing date last month and came across this boston globe travel article that mentions torrey. I was wondering why the computer was in the shop, and I guess that article explains it.

Torrey, 54, a former management consultant in Hartford, keeps a bed in his Basin Ski Shop. When the forecast is for snow, he sleeps there. That's not because he wants to avoid driving the roads home to Woodstock, but because he wants first tracks -- or, this year, he wanted to be here when Killington opened for the season Oct. 29.

''I love opening day, but have trouble sleeping the day before," Torrey said. ''I still have trouble sleeping on powder nights."

Rescheduling is really common, especially if there are issues between the parties as to the pre-sentencing reports.

Don't think he'll be seeing any 200 ski day years anytime soon. Can't imagine he doesn't get some jail time outta this? But you never know. With the right lawyer you can get away with murder sometimes...
