No reason ticket windows can't be automated.

They need to place ticket kiosks in several locations like the visitor's center and on K road like the K market and other restaurants and stores. Maybe a couple in Rutland. Have a few in protected enclosures from the weather that can be accessed 24/7 like an ATM.

I think staffing can be controlled. The mountain has to be rolling it in at a $105 rate, and there is no reason that should prevent them from raising wages to cover additional costs from increasing the wages. Therefore, by sheer force, the mountain will get more people that will want to work for them.

I really doubt they are "rolling in it" due to a ticket price you percieve as expensive.

Save for a few vacation weeks a ski resort essentially has two days a week to generate revenue.

Season pass holders keep the lights on during the week and quick start cash flow before the season begins.

FWIW, Roundtop mtn in PA is my local resort and they charge $69.00 for a weekend tix and it is about 1/10th the size of K.

I live in MD and visit K about 3x per winter and have never paid window rates. If someone doesn't do their homework on the inter web then so be it. Even I know to get my tix at the Grand....

And uneducated consumer is not the fault or result of poor management.
