I know you Bernie fanboys believe in the mighty power of centralized government, but a federal democracy doesn't work that way.

No, it was 20 million people by end of the year and 25-30M per month after that.

"Roughly 20 million people could be vaccinated against the coronavirus in December, the head of the Trump administration's vaccine and drug accelerator said Friday.

Americans can expect that about 25 to 30 million people could be vaccinated each month afterward, said Moncef Slaoui, co-lead of Operation Warp Speed, during a Rose Garden event with President Donald Trump and other top health officials."

The administration shouldn't have made the claim if they weren't certain the states could deliver on it.

There are a multitude of ways that the government could assist with this and incoming #46 is discussing those plans right now. Maybe you should be listening to that guy instead of the guy saying and doing nothing but lying to the public about fraud. Given that you've been one of the biggest whiners about pandemic shutdowns you should be demanding faster vaccination progress from all levels of government including the feds. The quicker they go, the quicker this is over.
Oh it gets better, DHS ... from this morning:
When Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar announced this week that the federal government would begin releasing coronavirus vaccine doses held in reserve for second shots, no such reserve existed, according to state and federal officials briefed on distribution plans. The Trump administration had already begun shipping out what was available beginning at the end of December, taking second doses directly off the manufacturing line.

That DHS quote sounds like its passing the buck back to the two vaccine makers and absolving the Feds. Is that what the expanded press report was also saying? Just not clear.

‘I’m facing a prison sentence’: US Capitol rioters plead with Trump for pardons

Arrested supporters say they were ‘listening’ to the President.

“I listen to my president who told me to go to the Capitol.”

Well, if they were listening to the President, they are in fact testifying against him in the Senate impeachment trial, are they not?

And if he listens to them and gives them pardons, would it constitute obstruction of justice and result in a third impeachment?

That quote was from 11/13.

I don't believe the slow speed of vaccine distribution can be attributed much to the drug makers.

There was no federal plan in place. Biden wants to correct that by using FEMA, the National Guard and supporting private pharmacies. . FTR, I feel he will fall well short of 100M vaccinations in his first 100 days just as Trump did falling short of 20M by EOY. Hopefully he can his 50M at least by 5/1.

Seems like a bit of selective quoting by fox, but nonetheless I do think Biden put his foot in his mouth on that one.

For context, he was talking about the next stimulus bill, saying we need to act to help people with the economic fallout. Earlier in the speech he did talk about aggressively speeding up the Covid 19 response, and reopening schools, and all that. I think his point was supposed to be that it will take time for those measures to take effect, but right now people are hurting and they need cash immediately. But again, it was poorly stated on his part if that's what he meant.

Biden is going around bragging that he ordered 200M more doses like this is a big achievement. It's sickening watching him take credit for what Trump did.

Now we have Cuomo sticking his foot in his mouth with his "Incompetent government" gaffe. He has got to be the least self-aware person in all of God's creation. Yet the lame stream media acted like he was the all knowing Covid guru. Putz!!!

eh, didn't Trump have the opportunity to order more doses from Pfizer and declined? Wouldn't we be better off if he had done that? Also, 100m of these 200m Biden is ordering are from Pfizer, who apparently took no government funding or help, so what does Trump have to do with that?

Cuomo, eh, I shall not defend him.

You can't order more than they can manufacture. Do you think Trump thought production would end and he would miss out on ordering more?

Pfizer had to go through the FDA which is run by the government. The FDA is the biggest speed bump imaginable.
