Conclusion is just fine as it is. Awesome yesterday and for several other days earlier this year.

Don't "F" it up with snowmaking.

No more OT for the snowmakers could be the reason.

at this point gonna guess weekends, maybe friday. originally the plan was, in addition to fri-sun, it would run on the days the canyon didn't run - tues & thurs. but because of the budget cuts, the canyon hasn't been running mon & wed, so doubt we'll see SR on tues & thurs.

Lines when I rode it yesterday and South Ridge was busy. Wish it had scanners so management had metrics on how popular it is. Too much “out of sight out of mind”.

They must have some metrics from the people who are tracking with the app.

Whoa whoa whoa. Hold on. THE budget cuts. What budget cuts?

Time to channel my inner Snoloco.

First of all, you are telling me that they have announced that due to BUDGET CUTS, they haven't been, and WON'T BE running the canyon midweek this season? The very fact that it hasn't run midweek yet this season, given the limited terrain, doesn't by itself explain why.

MAYBE Friday??

Did they, or did they not, say they will be running the South Ridge Quad Tuesday and Thursday this season? As I remember, that wasn't just a rumor that we were tossing about here. If it was just a zone rumor, I will be disappointed about Tues/Thurs but whatever. If they in any way told a public group or made a public statement, and are now reneging, that is very lame.

If they eliminate SRQ service on Fridays for budget cuts, that would be bad. Real bad.

If they are admitting to cutting lift operations midweek due to budget cuts, why should anybody on this board doubt that they have also cut the snowmaking budget - despite Mike telling us everything is totally normal?

BUDGET CUTS? This isn't a municipal bus system we're talking about.

Let's take people's money in June, then tell them in January that they won't be getting what they paid for, because we have made budget cuts. Let's just act like they don't have any other options for where to spend their money.

The second they publicly state that they have cut standard lift operations in any way, due to budget cuts, is the second they deserve to lose many customers to their competition.

Jeez freaking Louise.

my bad ... though the canyon hasn't been running mon & wed (even monday new year's day), it was probably a stretch for me to say "because of budget cuts". it was never announced. maybe it was simply a case of limited terrain. but it's no secret that there have been budget cuts in a number of departments including snowmaking, so the fact that the chair hasn't been running on those days was a logical assumption. now it did run today. it was a holiday and now much of the canyon is open. so perhaps we'll see mon & wed moving forward.

as for the SR, until this weekend, there was zero terrain there so no reason to run the chair. however based on this afternoon's report, the SR is not scheduled to run tomorrow (a tuesday). perhaps we'll be surprised in the morning and it runs. maybe all this changes as we move into peak season (feb/march). we shall see how this ultimately plays out.

Really? And we know this how? And which departments, besides snowmaking? Asking for a friend.
