Da Bush rocks!
We were there today and it was amazing!!! Spanky, Big D and I hit Castle Rock, Liftline twice, Rumble, Middle Earth and some trees off of Rumble. We also hit great woods off of Lynx lift, great stuff over there. We also lapped Steins run since they blew on it all day and The Mall. Overall, skied 9-close and had an absolute blast. It even dumped snow for about an hour. Spanky said "I like this place" about 20 times throughout the day, funny stuff.
Highly recommend a day trip up there, much different, laid back vibe that just felt gooooood!

Castle rock area is awesome. I was there on a rainy day in february last year, and still had one of the best days of the year. Hal knows what he's talking about.Mtn Man wrote:We were there today and it was amazing!!! Spanky, Big D and I hit Castle Rock, Liftline twice, Rumble, Middle Earth and some trees off of Rumble. the bush just has much better terrain. nowhere at k will you find 1800' of uninterupted vert like you do at da bush (or stowe & smuggs for that matter). throw in more nat & less grooming and you have a far superior ski experience. hmm and they were even blowing more snow on trails as opposed to a frickin cave ...SkiDork wrote:I say Wim should buy K!!!!!!

the rock is awesome, but, the usual but, if it's got snow.
organgrinder, etc. off the top great thigh burners.
outside of that, stick around a few days, it gets borrrrrring,
not near the character and diversity of K.
plus no access road life, no gondi's to hide in on bitter cold windy days, no
Rutland if you need stuff.

Neither, when in a foreign land, you go with your favorites. Had the Scotts on.CAPBOY wrote:Telebon? Or Gay Blades?
Oh, and I thought I had a Zee sighting at the Bush, but I wasn't sure. That pic of Steins confirms it.
And yes, I knew it rocked before. I just never had the opportunity to hit the CR circuit and glades like that.
