Pond skimmming location

OK, I've been looking at Killington's photo for a while and can't figure out where it was taken. The grooming pattern is wrong for Bear, and the lift into the trees is wrong for Outer limits. Can't be Superstar either, no crossing lift towers. Can't be Highline. I know its a wide angle lens, so some of the perspective is tilted, but...

In fact, the compound fall line and pronounced downward slope of the ridge going right to left really has me confused.

Is this even Killington?

Why not? Is it closed for racing this weekend?

The photo is Superstar. It was shot with a fish-eye lense.
As for Pond Skimming, check the K-1 cam, the pond is being built right at the base of Highline in front of the ATC.

Any zoners going to try skiing/riding across the pond? Where is Shortski? Dork would have done it if he was healthy and we were up there.

it's not so bad. Make sure you sit back when you hit the water.

the pond is right in front of the cross over trail from the Cascade run off that takes you to the K 1.
Now you really have to hike around it. It's in front of the ski club.

A wonderful location and when they are finished the water will flood the k1
loading, the base lodge and the parking lot drop off.
Also the pond has a big launch off to send you over the pond into the snow.
What a show it will be.
