Didn't Killington replace the drive motor less than two years ago in the middle of the season?

Yes they did.

Knowing these penny pinching new owners it's probably some regular maintenance stuff that could have been done before the season began but was delayed until the season began to give them an excuse not to run it during a few early season weekdays.

I heard from a couple coworkers that a drive gear came to a grinding halt this morning, shortly after 9am. I dont have any further information regarding it, other than i may have a couple extra days off.

Why??? I thought you were working at the K1? Why would you have days off?

Yes, I usually work the K1. With a chairlift out of service, everyone will have an extra day off, except the full time employees. Hope this helps. Cheerio.

superstar quad didn't run yesterday

I debated whether it was worth it to hike over and nail Superstar, but figured it'd be pretty blatantly obvious and not worth the trouble

now had there been > 6" of new snow, there wouldn't have been a debate :D
