The Burlington, Vermont National Weather Service discussion also doesn't look too bad. It won't be an epic powder weekend and it won't be bluebird sunshine. It also won't be the monsoon of last Saturday or the iced up lifts and limited terrain of Sunday.
LONG TERM /THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH MONDAY/...
AS OF 320 AM EDT TUESDAY...FAIRLY QUIET WEATHER FOR THE EXTENDED
PERIOD WITH ONE SYSTEM TO WATCH OUT FOR ON THE WEEKEND. A WEAK
TROUGH OVER THE MIDWEST FORMS THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY AND
EJECTS SOME CONVECTIVE SHORTWAVES INTO ZONAL UPPER FLOW ACROSS
EASTERN STATES. THIS COMBINED WITH A WEAK TROUGH SKIMMING THE
CANADIAN BORDER MAY SPARK SOME R.A.I.N AND SNOW SHOWERS THURSDAY
NIGHT AND FRIDAY. MEANWHILE... AFOREMENTIONED SYSTEM FOR THE
WEEKEND IS FORMING IN THE LEE OF THE ROCKIES. CURRENT ENSEMBLE
TRACK HAS THE LOW DIPPING SOUTHWARD THROUGH THE TENNESSEE VALLEY
AND PICKING UP SPEED AS IT TRACKS NORTHEASTWARD TOWARDS CAPE COD
SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY. OPERATIONAL GFS VERY CLOSE TO ENSEMBLE
TRACK WITH SURFACE LOW JUST EAST OF CAPE COD BY 18Z SUNDAY. AND
WHILE ENSEMBLE STD DEV FOR THE LOW TRACK IS ON ORDER 7 TO 9...FEEL
FAIRLY CONFIDENT THAT WE WILL SEE SOMETHING OUT OF THIS SYSTEM AND
HAVE BUMPED UP POPS EVER SO SLIGHTLY FOR SATURDAY NIGHT AND
SUNDAY. LOW EXITS THE NORTHEAST SUNDAY NIGHT WITH SOME WRAPAROUND
SNOW SHOWERS OVERNIGHT...FOLLOWED BY HIGH PRESSURE LATE MONDAY
INTO TUESDAY.
