I've looked at the helmet websites and ski mags but i cant find what i am looking for. I would like a helmet that get the audio from my ipod via bluetooth but i also want some sort of control so i can skip through songs... is there just a helmet that does all of this or a combination?

Giro makes bluetooth earphones for their Omen model. Unfortunately, the audio system costs as much as the helmet.

RED might have a few options. The have a blue tooth helmet here. It is $240.

The red and giro are the same bluetooth headphones, made Motorola.

You can actually buy the headphones separately as the s805, though you would need the ear adapters to fit them in the helmet, they would fit all or most Giro helmets. Basically these are "DJ Style" cans that detach from a headband and fit into ear pieces for helmets.

I bought a Giro G10 with the "wireless tuneups" in April of 07 for about the cost of a new G10, which was better than half off MSRP.

I don't use it with an Ipod because then I would need an extra adapter for the Ipod, I use my phone instead. It works OK, but the audio quality is not as good as wired, partly due to my windows mobile phone - audio from my PC to the headphones is better but still not perfect. Its neat to be able to take and make (with voice command) phone calls without even taking my gloves off and pause when your on the lift or gondi with friends. There are 2 big drawbacks however, 1, battery life sucks on phones with all that bluethooth and mp3 playing and 2, they are pretty damn big and makes you look like an alien. Not sure it would be worth it for just an ipod and I even picked up a set of wired tuneups since they are so much smaller. I still use the bluetooth headphones but mostly in the office with my PC.

In short, great idea, just not there yet.

After 40 years I bought my 1st helmet this year. Forgot about music when I was buying. So I'm going to try the Giro Omen Audio Series
