The Basin Ski Shop and what is right

until the Basin ski shop is sold to a completely different owner, or unless his wife divorces him and gets the store, anyone who knows about the situation and goes there and spends money is directly putting money into the pocket of a person convicted in the trafficing of child pornography...any one who knowingly puts money into the pocket of someone convicted of such a crime is a disgrace....there is nothing one can say to justify this selfish action...nothing....

You could argue that whomever buys the basin is also putting money in the Torrey's pockets. So where does it end?

Rick is now a convicted Fellon. With that conviction he loses many rights and privilages. He is being punished and will be punished for the remainder of his years. Is it your desire to punish his family and employees too because he was an asshole and dirtbag? If that is the case then you should all be following the blotters on you local residence to find everyone who is like Rick and punish them. They live and work around you but are not as high profile. PUnish all the families of everyone that screwed up, and close down the businesses that provide services and jobs in your area. Yep, because Rick screwed up, his family and employees should pay a price. Good move Bowls!

Doc, we sure don’t agree about politics (and at times, baseball), but on this issue I’m with you 100%. We have hashed and rehashed this topic. Anyone who feels compelled to boycott the Basin or vendors that sell products at the Basin or bands that play at a Basin sponsored event should do so – that is your legitimate right and it makes a powerful point in a non-violent and effective way. But recognize there are some who wish to show support for Torrey’s family, employees and business associates, all of whom have nothing to do with Torrey’s actions, and this support in a difficult time does not somehow imply implicit or explicit approval of Torrey’s crime nor does it contribute to his crime. Torrey himself is responsible for his actions. If you believe otherwise, then we certainly disagree, but I think we have now reached the point of diminishing returns on this argument.

It is time to move on, in one direction or another.

no i was not, but what does that have to do with the price of tea in china?

what is your point?

are you trying to make an excuse for something that has no excuse, cause that's what is sounds like....you're a disgrace , if that is your point... there is no excuse for what he did... only because it was not alleged or proven that he touched anyone, his store should be seized by the feds, half the money given to his wife with the other half given to the feds to be used to fund the sex crimes / exploited children bureau of the FBI that investigates this horror and the animals that traffic it...animals convicted of actually touching anyone should be in prison for the rest of their lives without parole.. go ahead , say that is too simplistic.. too un-enlightened or whatever other liberal pablum any apologist wants to come up with...i dont want to pay more taxes , but if barry O is gonna at least use some of the money to go after creatures like this, i'll deal with it..
