Today was a great day snow and weather wise with plenty of snowcover on Great Northern from top to bottom with very few thin/bare spots.
I guess they want to conserve what snow depths they have (impressive I might add) until they can make more snow.

Maybe since Tuesday 11/11 is a Federal holiday (Veterans' Day) they would shoot for that with the same trails that they presently have going. Figure 36 hopeful hrs worth of snowmaking would make up what they lost.
In the meantime, the skiing was fun

more info needed now. How long does it take to get to K from the start of the NY Thruway just north of NJ?
Mapquest's telling me 4 1/2 hours from north Jersey, does that sound about right?
I drive pretty quick (obviously no more than the limit tho

), trying to decide if I should come up Wednesday night and get a hotel or just batter up the road on Thursday morning.
Any info much appreciated

4 - 4 1/2 hours sounds about right from that point. You might be better off going up Wednesday night, getting a cheap room and be rested and fresh for skiing on Thursday.

it's about 4 hours. take it the northway than to exit 20 rt. 149. follow the rutland signs.
you can sac it up and leave at 5 am. you may want to get a hotel room that night you will be really tired trying to drive home.
