Not for nothing, like they like to say but they should give us something to justify, at least partially the prices they charge.

that kind of stinks, every once and awhile i like to have some wings. oh well, probably better off... i hate when i work up a nice appetite riding and spoil it on wings because i am starving when i get off the hill.
maybe they will offer some happy hour specials now. you can't call it happy hour if there is nothing going on, can you?

Tend to doubt that last.
Their objective, as with all other businesses is to get you to part with your money as quick as they can.
While giving you as little as they can.
It really was only for the people who go all the time, the day trippers usually never got any.
As an aside, last year the Lookout kinda pissed me off. I ordered a full meal, and I mean full and asked for a few wings while I was waiting. Was told no as I had ordered food. I mean I was spending like $25 just for a meal not including drinks and they refused me a few wings. It showed their whole attitude to serving their customers.
But ce la vie de la gare.

maybe a better idea would have been to limit to only one plate per person or something. at sushi yoshi they were always really generous with the wings. we also drank a decent amount of beer. i can understand from a biz standpoint how this will dramatically reduce costs, but i wonder if it will reduce the amount of business coming through each place. like someone else said i will probably go to baja burrito more often now, especially if they have the 1/2 apps and burritos, since i like their food a lot more than most establishments.

Not too upset. I've been hard pressed to find a real good CHICKEN wing, since leaving buffalo.

You really believe that?
I'm new to the board but I've been visiting Killington for years and, for the most part, the people who own these places are good people looking to make a living... Just like everyone. Costs have spiraled out of control and skier days have also been effected by the economy?

The free wings at the Lookout were terrible anyway.
Albeit they were free...

I don't get why they would stop this. I always thought the free wings were to draw people away from the bars on the mountain. If beer is just as expensive and there aren't any free wings at the bars on the access road there is no reason not to hang out at the KBL bar. Frankly at 69 cents a pound for chicken wings and a 4 dollar markup per beer for the 3 beers you drink with the wings, they weren't losing any money on the free wings.
