according to jbkmart:
K Spring passes go on sale March 10th. They can be used from March 27th until the end of the season. $169.00.

which is what i heard from a reliable source. imo think it should start a week earlier (march 20) since that is in fact the first weekend of spring (maybe as soon as march 15). also what i'd do is if you bought a spring pass you'd get a $100 credit on next season's unlimited pass.

Pretty sure that would piss a whole lot of people off.

How could they justify this to the people who bought a Unlimited pass last year?

I would be on the phone the day that was announced asking for a discount as I have been a pass holder for years.

According to Tom Horrocks' email to me this afternoon, the Spring Pass goes on sale tomorrow, March 9th, along with the pricing of the passes for 2010/2011. He didn't give me any other details today.

I like that idea as well.

However, I agree with SnoBrdr... that may be hard to justify. There is probably going to be a discount like last year if you purchase the next season's pass early. I could probably justify that if you purchased a Spring Pass you can still get the earlybird discount price of the 2010/2011 season even after the discount price closing date. In other words as a 2010 Spring Pass holder you qualify for the cheapest price advertised of the 2010/2011 Season Pass no matter what date you purchase it.

Just received another email from Tom:

"One more thing. Passes will be availble for purchase on the website after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
I'll have more information posted this evening on the Killington Insider Blog: http://www.killington.com/winter/beast/blog"

So, I guess.... Stay tuned until this evening for more details.

There are two market segments here: those that have passes at other mountains and wish to ski K after their home mountain closes and those that didn't buy any pass at all this year and are "now ready to drink the Koolaid". Bummy, you'd be first in line for that latter group but someone else has already elbowed you out of the way. The two markets are very different; I hope and expect that Killington is considering both in terms of a comprehensive strategy.

Regardless, this is great news. The "King of Spring" is back and looking to reclaim the crown.

One of The reasons pass holders purchase the " UNLIMITED PASS " is because it is stated up front.."good thru early May ". Bummy If you think their will be skiing at K in June then I also hear their is some great Ocean front property in Vt. for sale...cheap !

I wouldn't worry too much. Pretty sure if the place is open for skiing then your pass will work just fine.
