Closing on the 25th of April...

Post by SPORE »

http://www.killington.com/winter/beast/ ... -final-day
Sunday, April 25 will be the final day of operations for the 2009-10 ski and snowboard season. Our mountain operations team has done an outstanding job providing a quality spring product. However, based upon the weather forecast for next week calling for cloudy skies, r*in and cool temperatures, combined with a thinning snow pack, it is time for us to end the season on a high note. This weekend’s weather forecast, which is calling for sunshine and temperatures into the 40s and lower 50s, will provide a great opportunity to close out the season.

Sunday 4/25 Closing Day

Per: http://www.killington.com/winter/beast/ ... -final-day

Claiming the cool temps and clouds next week are the reason. Citing a forecast 7days+ away.

Sure does suck! Sucks even more for those of us who purchased Spring Passes (at least it paid for itself).
Oh well, I'll be up to enjoy the last weekend.

Just looking at photos today, it appears that they can easily stay open until the first weekend in May at least.

They need to close early to work on all the new upgrades so they can open early next season.

This makes no sense. They had a lot of people finally believing in them, and now this. Now everyone has all summer to think about Powdr shutting down again with top to bottom terrain. This makes no sense.
