Trying to make some holdiay plans. Can anyone tell me if it will be open by then? I have heard it's a pretty wild and crazy trail.

With a jib park at the bottom, the fiddle should get more love than ever. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

I heard from an inside source that Devil's Fiddle is being re-planted and will not reopen until 2013.

How are the knuckle dragging masses going to get down the upper section to get to the jib park? OL Express? Space walk is too low isn't it?

Its not a jib park, its a Skier Cross.

My guess would be that they start regularly grooming the top portion skiers left. That's what im afraid of. Hell to make to make the skier cross they will need to run a groomer up or down it.

I think that the expectation is that the skier cross will be on the very bottom of the fiddle which is relatively flat and has quite a bit of unused space. That being said, I expect the groomer will come up from falls brook/ bear cub or whatever it is being called these days and not go down from the top of the fiddle. I would be seriously surprised if the integrity of the trail was negatively impacted this season after the amount of cutting they did to reclaim the original footprint from the tree line.

No big surprise or question here. They have groomed skiers Left around the Head Wall many times. Put a ski cross at the bottom and some will demand (whine) that they need better grooming to get to it.
Wonder if they will give us back Dream Maker for normal skiing. I would love to pull out the 189 Vokles and tuck it again.

Sideways.

And don't lump all us snowboarders into one group - just like there are good and not so good skiers, there are good and not so good snowboarders.
