Snowing and Blowing, Whiteout conditions, HUGE crowds on the lifts that were open, other lifts on "Wind Hold". Been skiing for eight days, I don't need to stay out in this.

Everyone else enjoy yourselves and BE CAREFUL. I'm thinking Pico tomorrow and the Outpost chair.

Were they gettin there from the summit? Skye stage 2 was not operating.
Heard rumor all Bear lifts were on hold but I did not hear it from what I would call a reputable source.

About 11:15. Most of them came from K1 gondi. We were off Canyon Quad. NRT & SS4 were on wind hold. SD4, SD3 & CQ were running but very slow due to wind. I have no first hand knowledge about any other lifts.

I checked out the base and summit of the Outpost yesterday. It doesn't look like it will run anytime soon.
I'm thinking Stowe or Bolton Valley tomorrow.

agree got out early and it was great. lifts running slow. On the K1 heard that skiers had to put the skis and boards inside, as it was too windy to have them on the outside. When I left at about 1:45 pm the K1 single line was almost abreast to the base lodge side door.

How sad that is. Not saying anything Pico could do about it but.... What a season..... Sigh.

4th chair on skye peak quad at 8am. thought getting trax on upper dreammaker would be a good idea. lot of wind slab mixed with ice. we made better choices after that and stuck mostly to the trees except for a couple south ridge runs, stichline & royal flush (which had skied better the past couple days). our best day of the year by far. after lunch supe, needles quad, skyeship, canyon & nrt all were closed and lines became intolerable.

Outpost was very very good today. No lift access, just the short walk from Prospector. Still has some tall grass showing but good enough coverage and freshies to have fun. If that lift didn't open today after the upper lift was shut down, it won't open tomorrow. They should have opened it today to take pressure off the bottom lift.

I was at pico today. The summit quad made an awful noise, it stopped, and they had to evac everyone from it. We lapped outpost from the lower quad after that, it was nice over there. That chair is not opening, no snow on the ramp or anything

Here's a photo of the K1 lift line at 2:50pm. The lift line was out the corral, up as high as the waffle hut. The singles line went beyond the photo, just past where the fence ends.

Superstar Quad came on line real late, not sure exactly when, but I first saw it running at 3:40pm from the Snowdon Quad maze.
