Roll Call for May 2nd and 3rd

Post by RustyK »

Friday Night...Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 30s. Light and variable winds.

Saturday...Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid 60s. Light and variable winds.

Saturday Night...Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 40s. Highs in the upper 60s.

Sunday...Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 40s. Highs in the upper 60s.

Looking pretty darn good for the last weekend up to the top. Bay one BBQ can still be behind the K1.

Coopers roof gathering Saturday around 4:30. OL taxis wanted. Kentucky Derby and big shin dig later.

See use up there I hope! That includes you Doc NO!

Sadly have flat lands stuff to do this weekend. Friday a job, Saturday SAT administration. Sunday a new student and the pm
Volvo Ocean orientation in Newport.
Take a run for me.

Enjoy the weather, have fun and be safe too.

With nice weather forecasted, what's the prognosis on saturday being a complete zoo/cluster f***?

Only line last weekend was for K-1 & even that only at certain times. Superstar & Snowdon were pretty much walk on all day. Lot & access road were filled so get there early. I hope the mountain makes a few shekls this weekend so the spring push continues next year.

I won't be around this weekend but hope to be up again later this month.

Make sure you take picture of that final Bay1. I will be there in spirit. Going to do some gardening this weekend down here in the flatlands.

Hmm, they didn't expect to get 200 May Day racers on a Friday. Registration shut down at 11 as all 200 bib numbers were assigned. I suspect, if the weather holds as predicted, AND with the Tri Athlon, it WILL BE A ZOO. Get it early or late 'cause in the middle will be crazy.

yep we barely got in under the wire...Was that you working up top?

also a question about the race if you know the answer as I've never done it before... Is it usually a bigger course out on the superstar trail or was today the usual? thx

Dr No was the starter today. First time that I have seen the race run at the bottom of the mountain. Normally run on Middle Sup. Loved the new location as you could cheer from the porch of the RUB.

thx, did they post results anywhere or is it totally informal? My neighbor was working down bottom and told me that a young kid had the best time; under 12 seconds I think?
