Schmuck V Schmuck.....who wins?

So It's Mad Hatter who is a great bump skier but I don't think can ski fast and carve a turn? ....Vs. Highway Star who is a great carver but can also ski bumps.
I would put my money on HS who CAN ski bumps and also carve at speed vs MH who is a great bump skier but lacks real technical skills and I don't think could keep up up with HS in a GS style run.
Vegas Odds on a GS/Bump/ format...3-1....HS Favored.
I would not bet on either cause it's all hype but I'll take the Hatter with the Odds....you?

madhatter is a very good bump skier, great should probably be reserved for guys like the hammer...I also put up some pretty good times in the ski bum race, so you may want to reconsider......carves? yep I can lay those down like high speed light rail...all on the same ski's too, though I did buy some race skis midway through the bum series that I used exclusively for that purpose......always room for improvement though...but given the choice I prefer to ski straight down the fall line, not across it, so outside of the race itself you won't see many carves outta me, too boring...
still could use some work on getting those hands forward coming out of the gate, but overall I did pretty well in my first ever gate racing experience...I'll be putting in some actual effort into next years race series vs the no warm-up, one run and done I did for most every race this year ( cuz the weather sucked almost every race day as anyone who ran the event can attest)...pretty sure anyone who's ski'd w me would say I ski quite fast, but I'll leave it up to them to concur...

That's incredibly generous of you to say that.

take a look at everyone else out there...there's plenty of video out there, no one but the very best of the best was even close to full race form, maybe 6 guys out of the 200 or so...my times were in the top 15 every race except the very first one... once I swapped out my bump skis for some race oriented skis, I finished top 10 every race afterwards...for my first time gate racing ever, in a season that brought very little snow, lots of thaw and freeze cycles and generally a whole ton of really crappy wednesdays's in a discipline that is about the exact opposite end of the spectrum from the type of skiing I normally do, I'd say I did quite well...how'd you do?

unless yer one of the six ya ain't got much to say...and ya ain't...
watch the first ten or so racers here including the suit that put up the 26 and tell me how great stills from those gates look...as usual a whole bunch of critique from those who have nothing to base it on except hate for the madhatter....
https://vimeo.com/151930728" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
my carves are quite good comparatively and in fact I'd say that some of the faster racers did a lot more skidding.... I'll be making adjustments out there next year and taking a different approach than I did this year...plenty of room for improvement in every aspect of skiing as far as I'm concerned but the critique here thus far doesn't amount to much more than "ooh I hate that madhatter..."
but I don't hate you all back, I see your pettiness for what it is:

good grief dude I googled the saying and picked the clipart from about 50 of em, didn't even remotely bother to see where it came from, back to the skiing part, how'd you do? got some vid or stills of you? did you watch the video above for comparison purposes, or are you just out to express your hate for all things madhatter cuz it's all you have to offer...

madhatter is much more generous with his time and energy than most, entertaining the haters with honest and even self-depricating critiques on his racing skillz.
what's with all the whiney folks coming out and hating on the some of the most universally liked and respected people on this board?
could it be as simple as the clip art indicates?
if you think someone's uber-cool, you could always try the befriending route. madhatter won't bite you guys.
grow up, live a little, and enjoy the snow while we still have it!
peace.

Not that it matters just MHO that you have too much weight in the up hill ski...that tells me your a real good bumper... (Equal weight equal edging. Ya got 4 edges use e'm all) just say'n.
