Thirsty Thursday ....
.... at Pico .... variable conditions - not sure where the 5 1/2 inches is - bummer for Pico - they really need it! Had some interesting runs off top in fog, and a peanut butter run at bottom - we were able to bail to softer snow;). Enjoying our TT beer with Tom

How bad is the r*&@? Your reports will help us to decide Go/No Go as to whether we come up to ski the boiler plate or stay in flat lands.

Nice soft snow today at killington, but losing terrain and snow quickly... very windy heavy fog up top. Bear and Skye side were a lot clearer and more pleasant IMO. Will need a huge resurface, and we need snow asap. Amazing the difference between yesterday and today!

That's what I figured and was afraid of. Crap. Keep missing the soft days.
Just cancelled our hotel res. before the afternoon deadline. We'll save our powder (pun!) for another weekend....and when there are not Holiday crowds.
Y'all have fun! Good weekend to ski the opening chairlift, then get an early brunch, and to Happy Hour by Noon and prepare for football playoffs!

Re: Thirsty Thursday ....
trail count has dropped from 135 yesterday to 109 today. trees, southridge & some nats closed. not on-site but gonna assume it's due to snow loss.

Re: Thirsty Thursday ....
Yes ^^^ all sections you mentioned were quite bare today unfortunately. Pipe dream etc only had good snow on the sides even yesterday as the wind scoured it per usual. Woods took a good hit as well. Hopefully we can score a decent storm in the next couple weeks to bring us into the second half of the season on a better note!
Re: Thirsty Thursday ....
The good news,.my driveway is now completely thawed. The bad news tons of lost snow in the last 24 hours. Many places on the mountain today have lost all snow down to the ice. Next few days will be carnage for the Jerrys. I will be sleeping in.

Looks like we will need to sharpen the edges tonight.
