Rotten, dirty, beat down, sticky, soaked ugly fun yesterday. Worked today myself but the wife reporting total groomed chatteroy so add frozen to yesterday’s condition and you get the picture.

the lower elevation of the trees are gone. my friend reported that rotd was snowshed under the guns. bear never opened and they closed cascade down in the middle of the afternoon because it was a death slide.

"Chattery" perfectly describes yesterday with the runs of the day being East Fall and Skylark. Period . As for the trees , rock hard , boney and done.

There still are some tree runs (not low elevation nor in direct sunlight) with solid base, but they're more than chattery today, skiing in the woods is downright loud! Bring sharp edges! They'll be good after a snowstorm or a warm-up.

So which tree runs still have base if there is more snow? I am hoping the season kicks back in because after a huge el nino year like we has there is supposed to be a big spring snow but if there is no base it wont help much for the tree runs.

prolly trails like the light have enough base but if i'm making that much noise why bother ...

Oh, I'm with you, but after a bunch of high speed groomer runs (with the wind chill factored in with those), I needed something to "break it up" and get the blood flowing again anyhow.

And for which trees will be good once we get either 2-4 inches, or 4-6 inches, or a more significant dump, I'd be glad to show you GSKI but I've learned not to "tell people" where they should ski...I'm easy to spot, I alway arrive before the lifts start loading (whichever base lodge is open that's the shortest drive for me from Mass), and I wear a faded/old red jacket and grey pants, with a camelback...and my helmet is black but covered in various tree branch colors (so white/yellow/reddish streaks all over it)...but most of my ski friends would tell you "don't follow DES" so...

Euro is hinting at a MECS around the 14th. Now back to the regularly scheduled banter.
