spectacular day. things a bit firm on some trails at bear early but quickly softened once the sun came blazing through. good crowd on hand. bear lot pretty much full.

will call the light rotd. dipper woods as good as it gets as well. vertigo still firm when we hit it. flush mashed potatoes as u worked your way down. both pipedream & breakaway excellent in the sun. couple laps on upper wildfire which skied beautifully. short 8-12 shift due to company up for the eclipse.

bear is shutting down for the week to reopen next weekend. bummer because the skiing is great over there.

Out at 11 to cruise and bitter. Definitely spring. K1 to peak bar to meet the other rusty. Saw Rogman and Doria up there.

Over at bear, ol’ much better than yesterday. Was a repeat with skiergirl. Over at south ridge breakaway nice.

Escapade to cascade perfect. Saw gsmashed and daytripper at the umbrella bar.

Ended with ovation top to bottom. Does not get better than that.

Afternoon Report: Another good one in the books ! Afternoon skiing rocks !

With that said, I was pretty pissed off when partway through our day, while lapping South Ridge, the chair broke down just after 3:00. Just before we got on it again to ski the canyon for the power hour. So, had to schlep down Bear Cub, very sticky at the bottom, to Bear and eventually schlep across K1 Lodge to get back to where we wanted to go.

ROTD: Gonna give it to Royal Flush. Great day to ski it before it dies again.

Pipe Dream and Breakaway very good though not likely to last through the week. Upper Jug great and Lower Jug looked good but was denied it when the lift broke down.

Supe excellent late day.

Canyon was where it was at in the afternoon. Couldn't really go wrong there. Favorite was Escapade -> Flume. Nice to have that lift running until 4:00.
