God Took the Northway Back
Most K-Zoners who use I-87 to go to Killington get off at exit 20 and get onto NY-149. But just few exits north I-87 (The Adirondack Northway) is closed due to heavy r*ins that washed out the road. Between exits 23 and 25 is closed for 16 miles as crews work 24x7 to get the road back up during this tourist season.
And it just isn't a simple mudslide. Eight inches of r*in in 30 minutes turned a stream running along and underneath the road turned into a raging river and creamed everything in it's path. Huge bolders were tossed like pebbles. 20 foot deep sink holes ate up huge pieces of asphalt. It is an awesome sight to behold.
