Yup. I love the message on the trail maps page:

http://www.killington.com/sections/HTML ... rview.aspx

Trail and Area Maps
Nick will handle

Edit: I think someone flipped the switch too soon. The above mentioned trailmap page is not there yet as well as the snow report is still from Tuesday... http://www.killington.com/sections/HTML ... eport.aspx

Never argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level, then overwhelm you with their experience.

It has been up since we lost the K-Chat. Once they posted the NEW.Killington, the chat was dumped. Nick and company screwed up, unless we can link their site to here or other K sites. It was a good source of information, especially for many visitors. It was also a place to meet people before we got to the mountain. Hell, Bay 1 BBQ is due to K-Chat, as is the opening day and snow fall contests and parties.

At least the ski house listing page doesn't reference the KillingtonChat.com thread....

http://www.killington.com/sections/HTML ... sting.aspx

Of course it's pretty useless in its new form.

Once you figure out the new name, send Nick a note to provide a link. something like Not official Killington message board or Local Killington board. Maybe he could put a link in the information area or media link? AND, he doesn't have to monitor or care for it. Such a deal.

Anyone see a weather link? It's convenient to be able to check the weather without having to navigate to a new site/page 8)

I bet Nick will be a lot more productive now that he doesn't have to worry about the Kchat crew

Well, that didn't last long. The site is already down.

Edit: It's back up again.

I would guess that Killington will NOT provide a link from their web site to here. If they did, then they'd be connected to all the things they say were negative about the old K chat. Furthermore, I had several discussions with pretty high level contacts and the message as of this afternoon essentially was "the horse is dead; don't beat it".

The only way we will get their attention (if we even care) is if, down the road, this site is seeing far more traffic than their website, and if this site provides more useful information, contacts, links, etc. (i.e. to rental agents for seasonal and short term rentals) and whatever else is important to Killington and their revenue generation via their website. Otherwise, why would they care if there's an independent message board out there? All of this is, of course, down the road. For the moment, this is just a message board and, right now it's nice to see how many people have, through all the confusion, found this site in so little time.

111 people have joined the insider in a little more than a day....there is the potential to generate a lot of traffic here.....
