I havent heard from JTJ today, but he would be the one to ask. last I heard from him was about 11pm last night when they lost power. Yeah dorque, I cant see how you would get here without going through mendon or killington flats. Pittsfield and 100 is a total mess too. The VT State fair is on schedule opening on Friday according to their fb pageSkiDork wrote:but Iceman is ramping, and we were gonna drop him off and then spend the weekend at K, state fair etc (wonder if they'll cancel that?). Lets hope maybe they build something temporary in order to circumvent... Does anyone know the conditions of the roads and if it is even possible to get to K today? from some of the photos I've seen online it look like rt 4 is washed out from Rutland and Woodstock.
My guess is no. Cant be accessed from Rte 4 east or west. Washouts in Mendon and killington flats. Go boating on the great south bay this WE

How did the Long Trail Brewery make out? It always seems to escape the worst of the spring floods.

After seeing Shortskis house, I hope the brewery is still there. He'll need it!

I'm in a state of absolutely shock and dismay. Does anyone know if the power is still out up there? I was hoping to get up and check on the house tomorrow or Wed., but it doesn't look like I'll even be able to get there. Wonder if it's still standing.

I'm sure they figure out a way to get in and out of Killington between now and Thanksgiving.Stormchaser wrote:Is ski season in jeopardy? Or a portion of it?

That's the same picture Rusty posted a few pages back as West Mountain Road (and the iReport has it as West Hill Road). Which is it?Stormchaser wrote:East Mtn Road

Poor West mtn. rd....how the heck are they gonna fix that?
Never argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level, then overwhelm you with their experience.
