Talking about opening day, Nyberg drops the "O" word
At the town meeting to discuss the damages caused by Irene, Nyberg mentioned that "they plan to open at the end of October or beginning of November weather permitting".

While this doesn't mean much, I don't remember when was the last time that a Killington official publicly said that they would open in October if they can. This is a good sign, especially in light of all the damage caused by Irene.

I think in response to Killington's stated "Under promise and over deliver", and their willingness to slam the doors shut in the spring, my outlook will beskiersleft wrote:At the town meeting to discuss the damages caused by Irene, Nyberg mentioned that "they plan to open at the end of October or beginning of November weather permitting".
"Under expect and over appreciate".
That works post Irene as well.

people were complaining about people asking when stuff will open, etc...based on what the current situation is up there.skiersleft wrote:Please explain. This doesn't make any sense.Jim wrote:OMG how can you talk about opening day jeez....wahhhh

Skiersleft, people are not allowed to talk/discuss anything other than the disaster, especially skiing.Jim wrote:people were complaining about people asking when stuff will open, etc...based on what the current situation is up there.skiersleft wrote:Please explain. Right. Well, my guess is that Killington opens as planned. Last week in October is my guess. Gotta stay positive.tt431 wrote:Skiersleft, people are not allowed to talk/discuss anything other than the disaster, especially skiing.Jim wrote:people were complaining about people asking when stuff will open, etc...based on what the current situation is up there.skiersleft wrote:Please explain.
